Birth of Hot Springs
The Birth of Hot Springs Cafe & Homestay has an interesting story, one straight out of Bollywood movies, and has two parts.
The first part says, “It is never too late to pursue your dream”.
Our founder, Nilesh Vaishnav, an engineer by qualification, after 38 years of professional career started Hot Springs Cafe & Homestay at the age of 65.
Nilesh always had a dream to open his restaurant and offer lip-smacking food with top-class service. However, due to focus on career and responsibilities, he could not set up one but the dream and desire were intact and when opportunity knocked, he grabbed it with both hands, and Hot Springs Cafe & Homestay was born.

The second part of the story, well, you must have heard the very famous dialogue from a Bollywood movie, “Agar kisi cheez ko shiddat se chaho to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.” This is exactly what Nilesh experienced.
Post-retirement, Nilesh, during one of his leisure trips to Manali in Jan’23, met Bankim Purohit.
Bankim, also a successful professional and brand builder, had moved from Mumbai to Manali, running a homestay for the past couple of years. Bankim mentioned an opportunity to set up and run a cafe and homestay. Bankim and Nilesh had similar aspirations and goals and in less than 3 months, set up a fully functional cafe, and homestay and received their first guest on 9th April’23. It was as if the universe was truly conspiring to fulfill their dream of setting up Hot Springs Cafe & Homestay.

A beautiful 5 room Homestay with a full-service restaurant at Kalath, Manali. Every room has a beautiful view of the Beas River and the Himalayas.
